“I had an extraordinary dining experience at Mahekal, especially at the Fuego restaurant. Each meal was an adventure, with a fantastic set menu dinner every night that included four delicious courses. The chef is truly talented, and every dish was lovely. I particularly enjoyed the filet mignon and the Mayan octopus, which were both cooked to perfection. “The accommodations at Mahekal are simply enchanting. I stayed in a beach view room, which featured a rustic palapa design that added to the laid-back vibe. Each room had a porch with two hammocks, providing the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean waves. Although my casita door had a minor locking issue, it didn't take away from the overall charm and comfort of my stay.” view full review
